Believed Trojan Lying Friesian breed Bull, missing ring in nose, from an unknown lead mould [see Joplin Yellow book unidentified makers], unmarked, some mould shrinkage to base, has a cleft to each side of the moulding to separate the moulding of the horns and ears (similar treatment seen to the Trojan standing bull moulding we also have for sale) – together with a Trojan Cow Lying that was found in the same collection – moulded in white plastic, with black Friesian markings, Trojan cow also has cream painted udders – also unmarked but has distinctive pin-prick marks to base, thought to be particular to Trojan – Date to circa late 1950’s – in Fair used condition for age with some paint loss and wear, would benefit from a gentle clean – extremely hard to find Trojan models – [Provenance: from the Sussex collection of Trojan Farm Animals]
