Hilco 45mm Plastic Indians, comprising: Indian performing a war dance with two flaming torches (moulded in white plastic) and Indian attacking with tomahawk, sadly missing part of his right arm, (moulded in rich chestnut brown plastic) – both have indented bases stamped ‘Hilco Made in England’) – beautifully hand-painted, these figures are generally in Excellent unused condition, with only slight flaking to paint, save for the damage noted to one figure – Rare to find in such early examples. [Provenance: from the Sheldon collection of old shop stock (Sheldon News was a newsagents in Birmingham which traded during the 1950’s and ’60’s) – note: Paul Morehead, editor of Plastic Warrior has speculated whether these figures might have been special factory paint versions for a shop display stand – we shall probably never know].
