Herald Miniatures (Zang era) Plastic 1/32 Scale, Cowboys in Action, comprising: Catalogue No. C5 Cowboy, firing twin guns – moulded in chestnut brown polythene, with RARE unusual all-over gloss black paint to his shirt, boots, pistol handles and barrels, hat, waistcoat and trousers (the standard paint scheme figure had a charcoal grey hat, waistcoat and trousers, with silver gun barrels – possibly a homeworker paint error) – underside of base has the Herald logo straddled by C 5 – this very early figure dates to circa 1954 and is in Excellent condition, with only minor paint loss – exquisitely hand-painted model – this particular variant was not recorded in Barney Brown’s and Peter Cole’s recent Herald Civilian Models book, and is very rare to find in this condition.
