SOLD Herald Buck Rabbit (Brown) 1958 Trade Box

Exceptionally rare pre-Britains plain white card ‘Herald Miniatures Ltd’ 2-dozen trade box of Buck Rabbits (Brown), now containing 7 of 24 – hand-painted with pink painted ears, black eyes, with white underside and tail – all marked ‘ENG’ to inside of right thigh – printed end label with the catalogue no. H1600 dates this trade box precisely to 1958, the year in which the rabbits were first issued (from 1959 the brown & white Buck Rabbits were amalgamated as H2291) – offered for sale in excellent to near mint condition – carton is good, with original packing tissue – original price “4½d” marked lightly in pencil – very rare and early trade box.
