SOLD B&S Donkey Foal Painted as a Zebra!

Barrett & Sons – uncatalogued and very rare Zebra foal, from the pre-war Donkey Ride set lead mould – this 1950’s plastic 1/32 scale model was issued as a Donkey foal, but here it has been ‘factory’ painted with Zebra stripes/markings, which we have never seen before and are not sure if it was produced for a particular zoo gift set? The model is in excellent unused original condition and marked “B&S” on the underbelly. [Note: we know from the PW Taylor & Barrett Special that the Donkey was painted as a Zebra and, vice versa, the Zebra painted as a donkey].
