SOLD Britains Plastic Farm Assortment

Britains Model Farm ‘Unbreakable’ Plastic Farm Assortment catalogue no. 3/138 – this exceptionally rare, possibly unique, set comprises an assortment of Britains ‘lead mould’ models including Shepherd with Lamb, Girl with Bucket, Lying Foal with GREY painted hooves and early hand-painted Sheep. The prefix of ‘3’ was allocated by Britains to shop counter display sets and this farm assortment dates to circa 1958 i.e. before the merger with Herald in 1959. The models are in near mint to mint unused condition, whilst the green/yellow printed carton is good, with some age wear, small scuffs and tears. Includes the original price of 5/- (later amended to 10/- for the set). Also includes the original packing tissue. A rare and important set.
