SOLD Britains Ayrshire Cow & Calf – SMOOTH Plastic (1958)

Britains ‘Unbreakable’ Plastic Farm Series – No. 804 Cow standing and No. 812 Calf lying – moulded in early SMOOTH, rich creamy plastic (polythene) with scarcer Ayrshire (or Hereford) breed dark brown markings – these are Pre-Herald merger models dating to circa 1957 or 1958 (originating from Britains lead moulds), in Very Good Plus original condition – unusual to find an early matching pair of Ayrshire breed smooth plastic standing cow and lying calf in such superb condition [Provenance: from the Havant collection]
