SOLD Herald Rabbit Running (Brown) 1958 Trade Box

Exceptionally rare pre-Britains plain white card Herald Miniatures 2-dozen trade box of Running Rabbits (Brown), now containing 6 from 24 – hand-painted with pink painted ears, black eyes, with white underside and tail – all marked ‘ENG’ to inside of right thigh – printed end label (faded) with the catalogue no. H1602 dates this trade box precisely to 1958, the year in which the rabbits were first issued (from 1959 the brown and white running Rabbits were amalgamated as H2291) – contents in excellent to near mint condition – carton is good, discoloured, with packing tissue – original price “4½d” marked in pencil – very rare and early Herald trade box.
